Everywhere you turn in the area surrounding Portland, miracles of nature and adventure abound...

Portland is located at the unique crossroad of a wide variety of landscapes within a very short reach.

Drive less than two hours west and you're in old growth rainforests on the magnificent Oregon coast. There is an abundance of different routes to the most incredible sites and sounds on the coast with its wide range of different landscapes; from the cliffs near Lincoln City to the dunes near Florence. Though more spectular during the migrating season, whale watching can be done year round in Depoe Bay.

Turn east, and in the same amount of time, you are in the high desert.

Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens are part of the Ring of Fire and are popular destinations for many. This area offers a vast variety of activities for everyone.

Just a stones throw away from the City of Portland is the spectacular Columbia Gorge. Whether you choose the old highway in Oregon or tour on the Washington side, the views are stunning and panoramic. Multnomah falls is on the old highway and there are many beautiful hidden treasures that abound there.
